REGAL CHRISTMAS DINNER SERVICE EXHIBITION
The ROYAL COPENHAGEN Christmas Dinner Service Exhibition is one of the most popular events in Copenhagen. This year the legendary Christmas Dinner Service Exhibition will take visitors on a royal
tour de force, showing how the Royal Danish Lifeguards, The Royal Mews, The Royal Danish Orchestra, The Royal Library, The Royal Horticultural Society and Royal Copenhagen might celebrate Christmas this time around.

For many visitors, the Christmas Dinner Service Exhibition at Royal Copenhagen on Amagertorv in Copenhagen marks the beginning of the festive season. From the end of November until the beginning of the New Year, around 300,000 visitors visit the exhibition to see the wonderfully decorative Christmas dinner services and get into the spirit of the season and take some inspiration home with them. This year, Royal Copenhagen's Christmas Dinner Service Exhibition celebrates six of Denmark's grandest institutions with
unique and lavish dinner services, each revealing something of the particular institution's fascinating history, while bringing them bang up to date.

Christmas in Cyberspace
The exhibition includes a lavish orangery with sophisticated floral decorations that combine with the exclusive Flora Danica service to create a whole new contemporary look for floral art. There are also genuine bearskin
caps, uniforms and original sentry chairs belonging to the Royal Danish Lifeguards, flanked by Royal Copenhagen's classic Star Fluted Christmas service. Original saddles and uniforms from the Royal Mews contrast elegantly with the White Elements service. The Royal Library looks to a high-tech modern
Christmas in cyberspace with Royal Copenhagen's new Platinum service and the Royal Danish Orchestra's table is ready for a musical Christmas with the Black Fluted Mega service. Royal Copenhagen lets us take a
behind-the-scenes look at production of Blue Fluted Plain, the company's first ever service, which is presented in an elegant combination with the Blue Fluted Mega Service.

The Christmas Dinner Service Exhibition is being shown at Royal Copenhagen's flagship store at Amagertorv 6, 1160 Copenhagen from 19 November to 31 December 2010. Free entry.

WALTON FORD AT LOUISIANA - TAKE A LOOK "AT THE WILD SIDE"
Also take your kids to Louisiana for Christmas events and workshops!
The exhibition at the LOUISIANA MUSEUM of works by American artist Walton Ford (b. 1960 in Larchmont, NY) is the first presentation in Scandinavia of this distinctive artist. Walton Ford is a brilliant artist in the classical sense and at the same time an impressive and truly contemporary storyteller. His large, masterful watercolours of animals are at once seducing and alarming - full of vivid colours, bizarre clues and surreal symbolism. His works are complex and satirical, and they take a critical attitude to many aspects of our
history and the present day, including ever-relevant issues like industrialization, colonization and man's impact on the environment.

December in the Children's Wing from 1-17 December
Open workshops where children can build their own airplanes or draw animals (inspired by the Walton Ford exhibition) and transform them into decorations for the Christmas tree.

Christmas in the Children's Wing from 18 December to 2 January
Baking traditional "honningkager" formed as rhinos, lions, tigers and birds - inspired by Walton Ford's animal world.

Guided family tours in the Walton Ford exhibition with workshop activities afterwards.

Workshop:
Painting with different materials inspired by Louisiana's large Anselm Kiefer exhibition.

Workshop:
Building your own airplane and creating "aviator-stories".

The Museum will open specially on Mondays 20 & 27 December due to Christmas (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), and will be closed on 24, 25 & 31 December as well as 1 January.

DANISH VIDEO ARTIST TRANSFORMS THE GLYPTOTEK
The public must use all five senses when artist EVA KOCH brings video and sound into contact with classic sculpture. The exhibition "Salammbô" has been created especially for the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Eva Koch has created four new works for the exhibition "Salammbô." These works take as their point of departure the art and interior of the Glyptotek, which are transformed through sound and images. The Winter Garden constitutes the frame for an extensive sound installation concealed among the palms and sculptures. Eva Koch
trained as a sculptor and media artist. She has received considerable recognition on the international art scene.

The exhibition takes places from 29 October 2010 to 6 February 2011.
