LIBRARIES – borrow books for free
At the libraries everyone can borrow books, music, movies, games and much more
– all for free. Usually for one month.
It is possible to borrow materials in many different languages. Moreover, the libraries
offer reading facilities with newspapers, the use of computers with internet access and
help with literature searches. Furthermore there are different activities like kids events.

CULTURAL CENTERS – get involved in local culture
The culture centers in Copenhagen offer a wealth of activities such as: dance, theater,
playing session for children, concerts, open workshops. In addition the cultural centers
organize cultural shows and rent out facilities to various events.

VISIT A MUSEUM
Copenhagen has a wealth of different museums displaying both traditional and contemporary
art. Be sure to visit Thorvaldsens Museum and Nikolaj Contemporary Art Center.

SPORTS FACILITIES AND SWIMMING POOLS – Sport in many ways
There is a wide choice of indoor and outdoor sports facilities in Copenhagen. What about
taking a swim in the harbor pool? Many residents are joined in sports clubs and associations,
and there are always new forms of exercise to try out.

VOLUNTEERING
In Copenhagen you can engage in civil society by volunteering. As a volunteer you can
both help initiate new activities or take part in the many activities already going on around
town.
