Laugh and get wiser! Danish humour can be a tricky thing. At STORM you are given an entertaining insight into the importance of humour and satire in Danish culture – then and now. We offer humorous and entertaining stories from our much loved cultural heritage. From artists of the past like Liva Weel and Dirch Passer to present day artists like Roald Als, Casper Christensen and Lisbet Dahl.
Upstairs you can experience the quirky world of Danish humourist, cartoonist and painter Storm P. Discover his studio, pipe collection, famous cartoons, philosophical ‘flies’ and wacky inventions. Storm P. was quite a unique personality, and with his numorous daily stripes he has had a significant impact on Danish humour and selfunderstanding, on Danish identity and cultural heritage.
The museum also shows alternating special exhibitions exploring a specific theme in the field of humour and satire.
Opening hours: Tuesday-Friday 11-18, Saturday-Sunday 11-17. Monday closed.
